I take 2 weeks off and look what happens!

Wow... all hell breaks loose on the blogosphere!

Amanada Congdon left Rocketboom (not her choice apparently) right before the 4th of July holiday. The interim host, Joanne Colan, has done an admirable job of stepping into Amanda's big shoes (metaphor only). Here's wishing her the best.

Amanda meanwhile is entertaining dozens of job offers, including an impressive offer from Netscape czar, Jason Calacanis. Amanda revealed on her blog that because of all the press requests for interviews, she only now is getting around to reading all of the 2000 emails she's received.

Also, thanks to BoingBoing for the July 12 news that Geek Entertainment TV was sold to PodTech.net, a growing podcast network that scored heavily in the podcast geek world when they brought on ex-Microsoft blogger Robert Scoble. Congrats to GETV founders Eddie Codel and Irina Slutsky; they worked hard to make GETV a force in the Internet TV world.

And finally, I'm continuing to make progress on my development of my new video podcast "1 Track Mind". I hope to have news to announce by Aug. 7. Stay tuned!
